Q. What Causes Hair Loss?

More than 95 percent of all hair loss in men and women is due to androgenic alopecia, or pattern baldness (known as male pattern baldness when it affects men). This condition occurs due to a by-product of testosterone known as DHT, which is produced in high quantities when impacted by the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme found in the scalp. When DHT binds to the genetically predisposed hair follicles there will be a gradual suppression and miniaturisation of the hair which leads to eventual miniaturisation and destruction of the hair follicle.

Q. What is Revivogen® and how does it work?

Revivogen is a topical formula made of powerful ingredients which have been scientifically proven to work. These ingredients help to prevent the root causes of hair loss and help grow strong, healthy hair.

Q. Does Revivogen have any systemic side effects?

No, there are no systemic side-effects when used as directed. Revivogen’s active ingredients are all-natural compounds that have been used to treat hair loss effectively for many years. The only side effect noted with the use of this product has been transient mild scalp irritation in less than 2% of users.

Q. What kind of results should I expect?

After a month or so of using Revivogen, you should see a significant decrease in hair loss and notice a difference in how your hair looks and feels. After three to four months of use, your hair will look fuller and thicker due to the healthier hair strands. With continued use, your hair will maintain its health and continue to improve.

Q. Will Revivogen work for women, too?

Yes, and we have many very happy female customers. Believe it or not, the reasons for hair loss in women is often the same reason as for men. In most cases, the hormone oestrogen protects the hair follicle from the destructive effects of DHT. Unfortunately, though, women can experience thinning hair and hair loss due to fluctuations in their oestrogen levels and/or overproduction of DHT. Q. Does Revivogen work on other ethnic hair types like African American hair?

Male and femal pattern hair loss is due to DHT in all ethnic groups. Revivogen has been shown to help combat the root causes of thinning hair naturally and effectively.

Q. How is Revivogen used?

Revivogen Scalp Therapy must be applied to the afflicted and surrounding areas of the scalp at least once a day. In order to avoid rinsing the active ingredients out, it is advised that you do not wash your hair for three hours afterwards. It’s often most convenient to apply the Scalp Therapy before going to bed.

Q. Can I use other hair care products or colour my hair while using Revivogen?

Yes. You can use any other styling products on your hair as there are no contraindications. However, if you wish to use additional hair loss treatments such as Regaine® (Minoxidil), you should apply them around three hours apart to prevent any interference with the facilitation of Revivogen’s active ingredients.

Q. Do I need to use Revivogen forever, like with Regaine® and Propecia®?

Once you achieve the desired results, you must continue to use Revivogen as a maintenance. Remember, DHT is still being produced by the body and it can still have the same destructive effects if you don’t take action to stop it.
However, unlike many other products, you can decrease the frequency with which you apply Revivogen and generally reduce the amount to 3-5 times each week.
This usually takes up to twelve to sixteen months of use.

Q. I am using Regaine® and/or Propecia® and don't want to stop using them. Can I use Revivogen at the same time?

Yes. Because Revivogen is made from natural ingredients, and has no side-effects, it will not interact with any medications or other products.

Q. I recently had hair transplants. Can I use Revivogen?

Yes. In theory, transplanted hair is resistant to the effects of DHT but potentially, the hair follicles surrounding the transplanted areas can still be vulnerable. Therefore, in order to protect your hair, it is advisable to use Revivogen to give your hair the best chance it can have.

Q. What are atrophied hair follicles?

Atrophied hair follicles are those which have been miniaturised by the destructive effects of DHT. Over time, if not treated, DHT destroys the hair follicles, causing them to diminish and eventually die. The atrophied hair follicles are eventually replaced by scar tissue leaving a shiny, bare scalp – at this point, the scalp can no longer respond to treatment.

Q. Can Revivogen rejuvenate the atrophied hair follicles?

Unfortunately, if the hair follicles have atrophied, the situation is irreversible. The only option left is to consider a hair transplant. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that you commence treatment with Revivogen as soon as you notice that you are starting to lose hair.
